Look at the deep end of faith

Last year was the inaugural year of the Merge conference and it was a great success. Merge is a winter conference that combines Encounter and Revolution Conferences for a more laid back retreat setting at Daniel Springs Camp in Gary, Texas. Student Leaders get their group away for a few days in a relaxed atmosphere before the New Year begins. Students came away last year revived; refreshed, encouraged and shared it was one of the best things they had done in a long time.

This year promises to be no different. Darren Neely will be our featured speaker for Merge. Darren is a favorite of student conferences in the BMAA as he communicates in a way that will have them laughing one minute and contemplating the next. Merge will kick off the year of Discipleship and will “look at the deep end of faith.” Darren will guide us to think about our relationship with the Lord and challenge us to realize how essential a daily walk with Christ is to all believers.

Two Empty Chairs will lead worship and concert artist Stephanie Smith, will bless you with her passion to follow after Christ through her music. Special guest speaker Micah Hoffpauir of the Chicago Cubs will address the group on Tuesday morning. A favorite from last year was the Team Competition and it will be back again this year with the mighty “Killer” and some new elements to the games. A late night bonfire will close out Merge and promises to be a special worshipful time for all.

Merge is scheduled Monday, December 28 – Wednesday, December 29. Registration is $90 per person by December 14 and includes all sessions, concert, 2-nights lodging, games, Monday evening meal through Wednesday breakfast (5 meals) and t-shirt. After December 14 the fee is $100 and does not include a t-shirt. All in attendance must register and payment is non-refundable after the deadline.
